Fuel quality differs from pump to pump and, over time, contaminants in fuels will cause carbon deposit build-up throughout the fuel system. Carbon deposits harden on intake valves, piston heads, cylinder walls and injectors and lead to decreased km/l, hesitation, stalling, pre-ignition, loss of power and excess exhaust emissions. Today’s engines are so finely tuned that even microscopic deposit formations can cause performance issues.
