CRC Metal Armour is a zinc-rich primer and sealer that contains 85% zinc in the dry film. It is a versatile and unique formulation that bonds directly to bare metal or most surfaces, including painted surfaces.

CRC Metal Armour is recommended to be used on cars, trucks, boats, and trailers. Iron or steel. Equipment and tools. Railings and fences. Ideal for interior and external applications and for anything that requires painting post-rust treatments. Ideal for use after rust treatment, including CRC Rust Converter.

CRC Metal Armour is a zinc-rich primer that contains 85% zinc in the dry film. It is a versatile and unique formulation that bonds directly to bare metal or most surfaces, including painted surfaces. It provides a strong corrosion factor 68 protection (up to 5 and a half years) on exposed outdoor surfaces. CRC Metal Armour protects by galvanic action and prevents rust and rust creepage even when damaged or abraded. Existing rust must be removed or treated prior to application.
Preparation:
- Ensure all rust is either mechanically removed or treated with CRC Rust Converter or a chemical treatment.
- Ensure the surface is dry and free from any oil, grease, or other contaminants
Application:
- Shake the can until the agitator ball is moving freely, and then for at least one further minute to ensure the content is thoroughly mixed
- Hold the can 15-20cm from the surface when spraying
- Apply 2-3 light coats to a clean, dry surface for best results
- When finished spraying, clear the valve by turning the can upside down and pressing the button until only pressure escapes
Drying and recoating:
- Coating will be touch-dry in 10-20 minutes. Fully cured in 24 hours
- Recoat/overcoat after 15 minutes
- A top coating can be applied directly to CRC Metal Armour
- CRC Metal Armour 350g aerosol will cover approximately 2m²
