Applications

Efficiently recharges air-conditioning systems by refilling it with R134a refrigerant.

Features/Benefits:

Easy to use with clear instructions. Quick process, completed in minutes. Professional-grade R134a refrigerant. Cost-effective method for recharging air-conditioning systems.

CRC AC Charge is an inexpensive, quick way to refill vehicle air-conditioning (A/C) systems with regrigerant. With the unique All-In-One application method and professional quality R134a refrigerant, it is a fast and effective way to recharge the air conditioning system.

CRC Hose and gauge required. Only suitable for A/C systems using R134a. If unsure check with vehicle manufacturer.

Directions:

  1. Turn vehicle on and set A/C to the maximum cool setting.
  2. With the A/C on, determine if the compressor clutch is engaged. If the clutch is not engaging, do not use CRC AC Charge. Remedy the clutch fault before proceeding.
  3. Check that the air-conditioning system does not have any leaks before using CRC AC Charge. We recommend testing the system with a leak detector product such as CRC Leak Detector before using CRC AC Charge. If unsure, it is recommended to consult a vehicle air-conditioning specialist.
  4. Locate the vehicle's low-pressure port, which is on the thicker diameter turbing between the compressor and evaporator. Look for the "L" on the cap. Do not connect to the high-side service port, as doing so may cause serious injury.
  5. Unscrew the trigger dispenser from the can and remove the red and white shipping disk.
  6. Attach the hose fitting to the low-pressure port (You will hear a click). Do not pull the trigger, as it will release refrigerant from the vehicle.
  7. Check the pressure on the dial. If it is in the blue or green, continue to the next step. If the pressure is in the yellow or red, do not use CRC AC Charge. The system is overpressurised.
  8. Disconnect the hose from the low-pressure port and screw the gauge and hose tightly to the can of CRC AC Charge. Once attached, do not remove the trigger from the can until the can is completely empty.
  9. Shake the can well and reconnect the hose to the low-pressure port. Squeeze the trigger to dispense the refrigerant, rotating between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock every 2-3 seconds to keep the can charged. Every 10-15 seconds, release the trigger to check the pressure on the gauge, ensuring not to overfill the system. Once the A/C system is filled, disconnect the hose from the vehicle and leave the recharge hose on the can and store it in a cool, dry location.

Note: Use with care. Under the Climate Change Response Act 2002 it is an offence to knowingly release R134a into the atmosphere.
